The Copper Kettle opened in 2011 because Staunton didn't have a kitchen shop worth visiting. Founder Diane Holt wanted a place where serious home cooks could find quality tools, chat with people who knew the difference, and discover local products they couldn't get anywhere else.
We still carry that same idea: only stock things we'd use ourselves, stay curious about what's coming out of local farms and kitchens, and treat every customer like a friend who stopped by to browse.
"The staff actually knows what they're talking about, which is so rare. They talked me out of a pan that wasn't right for what I cook and into a better one. Brilliant."
"I do all my holiday gift shopping here. The gift baskets are gorgeous and the local honey and preserves are things people actually use. Not generic at all."
"It's the kind of shop that makes you feel like cooking when you leave it. Every time I stop in I find something new I didn't know I needed."
